Obituary of David Biehl

SSG David Michael Biehl, 27, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 10, 2011. David was born in Kennewick, Washington, on November 18, 1983, to Michael and Dawn Biehl, where he spent the early part of his childhood. Later he lived in Spokane, Washington, where, at the age of 17 between his junior and senior year of high school he enlisted in the Army. From a very young age David had a passion for serving his country to defend the freedom of all of us here at home. He served two tours to Iraq and was particularly proud to serve with the 3rd Infantry Division. David, while in service, received various awards for being an exemplary soldier of the U.S. Army. He received Non-Commissioned Officer of the year followed by recruiter of the year and various Army achievement medals. In addition to being dedicated to serving his country, David was a family man dedicated to his daughter Sydney (from a previous marriage) and the love of his life, Jennifer (Melvin Rhom). David and Jenny married on October 22, 2010 in Caldwell, Idaho and were blessed with a wonderful year of marriage. David had many hobbies that he enjoyed including camping, hiking, fishing, softball, and other various hobbies that he shared with his wife and friends. Words cannot describe how loved David is by so many and how much he will be missed. He touched many people's lives with his dedication of service to his country and with his caring, compassionate, and loving heart, and his contagious laugh. David is survived by his wife, Jennifer Biehl (Caldwell, Idaho), daughter Sydney Biehl, (Meridian, Idaho), parents Michael and Dawn Biehl (Spokane, Washington), sister Melissa Swanson and husband Jeremy (Kennewick, Washington), brother James Biehl (US Coast Guard of Coos Bay, Oregon), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces. Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Funeral proceedings will be held at on Gowen Field at the Chapel on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 1:00pm followed by a graveside service at the Idaho Veterans State Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
